'Composting Gold' - Tour the Shores Largest Composter!Remember those field trip days? Get ready to relive the excitement with this hands-on adventure.
Join Josh Chamberlain, Founder and President of Go Green OC, Ocean City’s award-winning nonprofit dedicated to sustainability, environmental education, and community-driven solutions. Under his leadership, Go Green OC has diverted nearly 1.3 million pounds of food waste from landfills through the Eastern Shore’s largest composting operation, partnering with local businesses, festivals, and organizations to move our region toward a zero-waste future.
A behind-the-scenes peek at his “homeland,” where the compost gold mine thrives. During this experience, you’ll see firsthand how food scraps transform from rags to riches, and ultimately, gold in the compost world.
You will experience the process of turning food waste into nutrient-rich soil and you may never look at your kitchen scraps the same way again.
Come explore the 'Gold Mine', learn the science, and gather a little wealth of your own.
