About this Event
Spend a late afternoon on the Potomac with Catboat for an unforgettable evening on the water. You and up to 4 guests will head out with the Washington Sailing School for a hands-on hour of sailing instruction, learning the ropes as the city skyline fades into a golden evening sky. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or have never stepped foot on a boat, the @washingtonsailingschool instructors will guide you through the basics — from reading the wind to handling the sails — making for a fun and approachable experience for everyone on board. A bottle of wine is included to enjoy while you soak it all in, so sit back, raise a glass, and let the breeze do the rest.
This is the perfect way to wrap up a weekday or kick off a weekend — there's nothing quite like watching the sun dip below the horizon from the deck of a sailboat with good company and a great bottle of wine. The late afternoon timing means you'll catch the Potomac at its most beautiful, with soft light on the water and the Washington skyline as your backdrop.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time to allow for check-in and a brief safety orientation before we shove off. This is a 21+ event — please bring a valid ID. Spots are limited, so be sure to secure yours before they're gone!
In the event of weather that doesn't allow for sailing, we will refund tickets in full and notify attendees by noon the day of the event!
