Sinners and the Sound of Black History is a 45-minute interactive workshop for middle and high school students exploring the roots of Black American music through the lens of the critically acclaimed film, Sinners; tracing the Delta Blues from West African griot traditions to today’s genres.
Presented by COOS Teaching Artist, Shileta Peregrino Cezario.
Parking & Accessibility:
Free parking lot next to the library with accessible ramp at the front entrance. The Community Room is on the left upon entering. Public WiFi available. The Roxbury Branch Library is fully accessible, featuring a new elevator, a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, and restrooms, and enhanced technology for the hearing impaired.
