About this Event
April-02, 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Howard Thurman Center
Across Boston University, students, faculty, and researchers are working on a variety of topics related to global development, from student-led work and academic programs to research centers and policy work. With the aim of bringing all those resources together, the Human Capital Initiative (HCI) at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center is hosting this outreach and networking event to help bring these conversations and opportunities into one shared space, and to present what resources are available to students and the BU community related to Human Capital and Development.
This event will:
• Highlight development-related courses, research initiatives, and centers across campus
• Provide information about fellowships, travel grants, and research funding
• Share opportunities for research assistantships and employment
• Feature remarks from HCI faculty and a moderated discussion with researchers and alumni
• Create space for students to connect with faculty, researchers, and peers working on development-related issues
Whether you are already involved in development work, or simply curious about where to begin, this event is an opportunity to learn more about the community at BU and explore how you might engage with it.
All members of the BU community are welcome.
