About this Event
Singing for Health - A Singing Session for Wellbeing
Have you ever wanted to sing but felt you weren't good enough? This session will change that.
Singing together is one of the most natural and powerful things we can do for our wellbeing. Research shows it reduces stress, boosts mood, improves breathing and creates a genuine sense of connection with others.
After a successful session held in March, this 90-minute session blends simple, uplifting songs with breathing and relaxation techniques. You do not need any musical experience or ability. There is no performance involved. You just need to show up.
What to expect:
- A warm, welcoming group setting
- Songs chosen for joy
- Breathing and relaxation activities
- A facilitator with over 25 years of experience
You will leave feeling better than when you arrived.
This session is for adults. No prior experience needed.
Facilitator Maria Soriano has delivered singing for health programmes for the NHS, MacMillan Cancer Support, Age UK, MENCAP and many other organisations. She is a member of the Music, Spirituality and Wellbeing International Network and the Natural Voice Network.
