The Book of Light Poetry Series is thrilled to present a very special evening celebrating Lucille Clifton’s new collection of poetry, At the Gate: Uncollected Poems: 1987-2010 with Sidney Clifton, Lucille Clifton’s daughter.

Sidney Clifton: As an Emmy-nominated producer and creative executive with more than twenty years of experience overseeing animated and mixed-media content across television, film, and emerging platforms, she has most recently served as Head of Animation at Mattel Television Studios, where she guided creative strategy and production across a global portfolio of IP. Previously, she was a producer and Senior Vice President of Animation and Mixed Media at The Jim Henson Company, leading development and production for premium family and genre storytelling.
Beyond her studio work, Clifton is a dedicated mentor and advocate for emerging writers and artists. She is a frequent speaker and presenter at colleges and universities across North America, where she shares industry insight and champions pathways into creative careers.
