Fri Oct 23: Soraia (from Philadelphia), Wonderland Rejects, Desoto Reds (Garage/Rock)
$15 cover, 7pm doors 8pm show
Soraia channels the raw essence of rock’s fiercest icons, blending the grit of garage rock, the pulse of soul, and the edge of modern alternative.
Often compared to icons like Patti Smith and Joan Jett, with echoes of PJ Harvey, the band has carved out a sound that is both timeless and urgent. They’re rooted in Philadelphia, but are hardly contained by city’s limits, and frequently tour across the United States and Europe, fueled by pure energy and an untamed spirit.
”Soraia is an extraordinary, exciting, and ‘sure to make waves’ band who I love and admire.”
-Joan Jett
Their music thrives on tension and release: stories of love, loss, resilience, and rebirth delivered with unapologetic intensity. Frontwoman ZouZou Mansour brings an electrifying presence that’s palpable through a stereo and impossible to ignore on stage.
