Geek Culture ZA is taking over Woodstock Brewery to launch Side Quest Socials—a new quarterly gathering dedicated to Cape Town’s alternative creatives, makers, and fandoms.
Forget the usual routine. We are building a night where pop culture meets fine art, and where you don't just consume content—you create it.
Kick off your 2026 with our inaugural event: THE SKETCH QUEST EDITION.

🖌️ THE MAIN QUEST: Drink & Draw (Ticketed)
Limited to 40 Seats | R120 pp
Join us for a curated, low-pressure social drawing session hosted by our Featured Artist (TBA).
The Mission: Grab a reserved seat and a "Quest Kit" (supplies provided). You have 90 minutes to sketch based on a geeky theme announced on the night.
The Loot Drop: At the end of the session, all artwork goes into a blind "Loot Box." Everyone draws a random envelope—meaning you could go home with a masterpiece from a pro, or a hilarious doodle from a new friend!
Who is this for? Everyone from pro illustrators to stick-figure enthusiasts. It’s about the fun, not the perfection.

- Community Collection: Alongside our headliner, explore a curated selection of works from Cape Town's community creators—ranging from digital illustration and fantasy prints to epic Gundam kitbashes, custom action figures, and 3D-printed props.
