Stay after the workshop for our Jam Session Open Skate 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm for only $5.
Drop-in passes can be used with all of our classes.
This class if for skaters who like the outer edge of the roller rink and love to dance while skating. You will learn the basics of shuffle skating that we typically see in Calgary and show you how to maintain a beat so you look cool.

Riceball is a three-time national Team Canada Men's roller derby skater and a 15-year member of the Calgary based Glenmore Reservoir Dogs. He currently holds the position of co-Captain on the Dogs and is on the board of the Chinook City Roller Derby league as Athletic Director. He also is assistant coach for Team Canada Women's Roller Derby and coaches junior level 2/3 with RVRDA. Riceball is an ex-Jammer who is now blocking. Rice has been rhythm skating in Calgary since the 70’s and grew up frequenting rinks like Rollerland, Hollywood Roller Gardens and Lloyd's.
Safety gear is highly recommended but not required. Safety gear is included in the skate rental price.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your class starts. This gives you enough time to check in and gear up.
If you decide to stay after class and stay for our Jam Session Wednesdays Open Skate, it's only an additional $5.
