Let's be honest - LinkedIn can feel cringey. The corporate buzzwords, the humble-brags, the "I'm delighted to announce..." posts that make you want to hide under your desk. And yet LinkedIn is genuinely brilliant for small business owners and self-employed folk when you do it your way.
This workshop is for anyone who wants to boost their personal brand on LinkedIn but doesn't know where to start - or feels too awkward to try. Whether you're a business owner, freelancer or consultant, this one's for you.
What we'll cover:
- Tips for creating your personal brand without the cringe
- The art of storytelling - how to share your work authentically
- How to write content that gets noticed by the right people
- We'll review our LinkedIn profiles together in the session and actually write a post on the day
- Practical frameworks to create posts and plan your content calendar
- Real examples and case studies from people doing it really well
- Confidence-boosting tips to get past the awkwardness for good

Sally Day is a Marketing Trainer, Mentor and founder of Sally Day Consultancy & Training, with nearly 20 years of experience helping small businesses grow. Based in Wantage, Sally's passion is making marketing accessible, affordable and enjoyable for everyone - whatever your budget or experience level. Expect a warm, jargon-free session packed with practical ideas you can actually use.

- You can park onsite for free
- Teas and coffees will be provided - including biscuits!
- A food truck is next to Boston House if you'd like to purchase a fancy hot drink prior to the event or lunch afterwards
- You can arrive from 9am to mingle and get settled - we will start promptly at 9:30am
- Slides will be sent after the session so no need to worry about note-taking
