Short Wave Weekly Ecstatic Dance Saturday

Short Wave is a condensed ecstatic dance meditation consisting of a single 45-minute wave. No facilitation. Just dance and community hosted by two ecstatic dancers with 20 years of experience. Dancers will find a safe, intentional space for healing, connection, and rejuvenation. Space for up to 7 experienced dancers.

The condensed format adds focus and intensity to the dance. Bring your advanced practice and join us.

Who should attend

Dancers with at least 5 years of consistent ecstatic dance experience who desire a safe space for deep emotional work through dance. Beginners welcome when accompanied by a more experienced dancer.

Music Format
Music mix incorporates multiple genres such as world, folk, R&B, pop, classical.

Guidelines

We dance in bare or stocking feet.

We express ourselves through movement.

We save voice conversation for after dance.

We wait to be invited before touching another dancer.

We move as we feel called to do so.

We gather in circle after dance for reflection and community, for those who wish to do so.

Housekeeping

• Please remove your shoes before walking on the wooden dance floor.
• When there is snow, please park on the odd side of the street to ensure that snow plows have access.
• Bathrooms are not ADA accessible. They are outside and down two flights of concrete stairs.
