Wildbluesea x VoLo Foundation for Florida Climate Week 🌎 with a shoreline cleanup, mangrove outreach pop-up with the JHS Blue Team and a wild water dip. Join us!
Learn, connect and take action at our free community meet-up Sunday, October 11, 8:30-10 a.m. at Coral Cove Park on Jupiter Island. Visit Wildbluesea's outreach pop-up to learn about blue carbon, mangroves, seagrasses and their value in reducing carbon in the atmosphere. Then, participate in citizen science with our Ocean Gratitude shoreline clean-up with data collection.
Discover "blue mind" health and how being near in and under water increases your well-being and makes you happier, creative and connected. Leave the experience more informed, restored and ready to contribute your part to climate change solutions.
🔵 Blue carbon- carbon that is removed from the atmosphere by aquatic ecosystems- plays a key role in understanding and planning for the changing global climate. It has recently been determined that mangroves can remove and store up to 4x more carbon than rainforests.
