Shoot and Edit Mobile Video
About this Event
Trainer - Dan Mason
Summary
For journalists and content creators, mastering scroll-stopping, short-form video is an essential skill. It is even more important as audiences spend more time watching vertical, mobile-first video on platforms such as TikTok, YouTube and Instagram.
The most engaging video for social media is authentic, catchy and often created FOR mobile, ON mobile. Practice makes perfect. But this updated, hands-on workshop aims to provide a solid foundation for creating engaging video, using simple techniques and easy-to-learn apps.
Expect a focus on creating vertical Reels, Shorts and TikTok-style video, with clips, images, subtitles, music and effects. How do some people look so natural and dynamic on video without reading from a script? You’ll learn. What if you are not so comfortable in front of a camera but still want to produce explainer videos with a natural-sounding voiceover? Learn that too.
We don’t delve into TV news-style interviews, though the learning transfers to all styles. At the end of a busy day, you’ll leave ready to shoot, share and make an impact with video.
