The 2026 House Championships
(open to all bowlers who play league at Shipley with a current or completed league average over a minimum of 18 games since 1st September 2025)
£800 added prize money by Shipley Bowlers Club and Shipley YBC
£1600 anticipated by fund.
Perpetual trophies will be awarded to each singles winner
Saturday 18th July – 9.30 am
Junior Handicap Doubles with Handicap Singles Final
Registration from 9am.
Cost normal £10 per person.
3 games Handicap bowled over one pair of lanes (max 18 teams).
Top 6 Individual players will play a one game step ladder to determine the,

Sunday 19th July
Handicap Doubles
4 games over 2 pairs of lanes (max 30 teams)
Cost £50 per team
(lanes will be dressed before each squad but not before the finals)
Squad A – 9.30am (practise 9.25am)
Registration and Free Bacon or Sausage butties from 9am
Squad B – 11.45am (practise 11.40am)
Registration and Free Bacon or Sausage butties from 11.15am.
Squad C – 2pm (practise 1.55 pm)
Registration and Free Bacon or Sausage butties from 1.30pm.
Finals – 4.30pm (two practise balls per lane)
Warm up lanes available for leaders
Finalists will be selected in the following order:
Top 3 scratch bowlers will play the scratch final
Top 3 lady bowlers with handicap will play the ladies final
Top 3 Seniors (50+) with handicap will play the senior final.
Top 3 Men with handicap will play the men’s final.
The top 3 in each division will play a one game step ladder final to determine the
2026 SBC Mens, Ladies, Senior and Scratch House Champion
Normal rules of the BTBA will apply and the Tournament Managers decision will be final.

Re-entries are permitted on the day if spaces are available, a change of one player constitutes a new team and can be entered at any time.
Entry fee £25 per player, £50 per team.
(Junior entry fee Saturday only £20 per team)
Players may only qualify for one singles final.
The singles finalists will be chosen in the following order, Scratch, Ladies, Senior, Men.
In the event of a tie in the doubles the prize money will be shared.
In the event of a tie in the singles in qualifying for the final the highest last game will be used.
In the event of a tie in the stepladder a 9th and 10th frame shoot out will take place.
Prizes in the handicap doubles will be paid on a ratio of 1 per 4 entries.
Anticipated prize fund £900 (30 entries)
The doubles prize fund will be adjusted pro rata to the actual number of entries.
Extra prizes will be awarded to top Scratch, Ladies and Senior Doubles Teams, in addition to any prize money won in the handicap doubles. Juniors can participate in the Adult Handicap doubles provided the full entry fee is paid.
The singles prize fund is guaranteed and is sponsored by Shipley Bowers Club and Shipley YBC.
