Shimshai & Susana celebrate their new album 'Buscando Flores' with a ceremonial concert of sacred songsShimshai & Susana return to the Center SF with their original style of ceremonial medicine music. This time celebrating their newest release, ‘Buscando Flores’ (Looking for Flowers), they offer many traditional songs from Mexico along with stories, meanings and translations to accompany them. The simplicity of Shimshai & Susana’s music draws the listener in mainly thru the sweet sound of their voices and profound spiritual messages backed by the intricate weaving of Shimshai’s guitar. Working together for almost 2 decades both in and out of ceremony, Shimshai & Susana focus on the traditions of the Americas, from North to South and have worked directly with many elders and teachers in these ways. Invoking indigenous languages along with original and traditional contemporary folk music, a ceremonial concert with these souls will take you from the deserts of Mexico to the jungles of Peru and beyond. Shimshai & Susana are married with 2 mostly grown children and live near Mt Shasta California where they host retreat programs throughout the year at their own home center.
