Shillingford Organics Agroforestry Tour for Agroforestry Open Farm Weekend

We will be hosting on tour on Friday 15th May starting at 10am.

You are welcome to stick around afterwards for a catch up over tea & cake.

Shillingford Organics is an organic, agroecological farm & just 3 miles from the center of Exeter. The farm has been organic since 2000 & farmed by the Bragg family since 1965. A team of dedicated growers produce our veg & fruit. Our produce is sold via our vegetable box scheme, farmers markets and in a farm shop & cafe. The farm produces healthy food for local people.

Here at Shillingford we have a variety of agroforestry predominantly focused on silvohorticulture. We have three fields in alley cropping systems planted in 2002, 2012 & 2025 between which we grow a variety of vegetable crops. The main fruit planted here is apple but we also have plum, damson, gage, pear, fig, cobnut, almond & walnut. We also have several orchards, shelter belts and 12.5km of hedges as well as several areas planted to broadleaf woodland.

We have compost loos at Farm School.

We'll be offering tea, coffee & cake after the tour. This will be at a small cost. Please bring cash if you wish to buy something.

Follow signs for parking once you arrive at the farm.
