“Wayfind-ing (for one)” with Sharon Mansur
A solo movement meditation by the Mississippi River.

This month’s salon features Lebanese American artist and SHIFT~ curator Sharon Mansur. She will be embodying elements from the "Wayfinding" project co-created since 2022 with Arab American choreographer and filmmaker Meryl Zaytoun Murman (merylmurman.me), including themes and inspiration from Meryl’s 2024 McKnight International Choreographer Residency at PIC with Gloria Alicia Alatorre, MaryLee Eischen, Zil Ricker and Marcia Ratliff.
"Wayfinding" centers questions of home, place, and migration, as well as bodies of water and intersections between environment and social justice through a SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) diasporic lens.
Please park in the lot by the Kiwanis Shelter, just past the campground entrance. We will start by walking along a path by the river to the PIC beach. Bring your favorite camp chair or blanket for seating. The performance will be followed by snacks and a creative conversation.
