Balkan Blue Trio @ Peter's Biergarten

This New Mexico based trio brings their rebel rhythms to the Midwest. Entertaining you with accordion, stand up bass, and myriad percussive sounds, Balkan Blue will get your feet tapping and your hips swaying with their arrangements of Balkan music incorporating western Blues and Jazz sensibilities.
Presenting traditional dance tunes from Eastern Europe and beyond, Balkan Blue has a long history of accompanying folk and belly dancers, performing at renaissance fairs, folk festivals, setting down hypnotic beats, and sharing their love of unique scales and rhythms through lively concerts and educational workshops.
Nicolle Roen (vocals, accordion, and tambura) will be joined by local friends Sally Reimer on mandolin & bass and Frank Bramlitt on percussion.
