About this Event
Friday 18th April, 7.30 - 9pm and Saturday 19th April 7.30pm - 8.30pm
Money makes the world go round. But as young people working in an industry that is increasingly being sapped of money and support, how are we expected to navigate it? In a system that is stacked against us, maybe it’s up to us to tear it down.
CAMPitalism is a TedX talk meets drag brunch meets the Lehman Trilogy. Taking inspiration from high octane financial dramas like The Big Short, the huel-drinking grindset personalities like Stephen Bartlett, and TV shows like The Apprentice and Industry, three queers battle entrenched bureaucracy in an earnest attempt to understand and demystify finance.
At its core, CAMPitalism is a genreless piece of queer theatre in a society where everything (economically and socially) is predicated on simple identification. We are everything. We are nothing. We’re here, we’re queer and we’re financially-illiterate.

Find out more about BOY Theatre
BOY Theatre is a fresh new company of fellow audition rejects who came together over their shared obnoxiously gay appearances and gender neutral pronouns. We are composed of three actor-writer-performers: Maria Telnikoff, Kit Miles, and Cherry Eckel.
Our work aims to be: energetic, exposing, inherently political, heartwarming, woke, and groundbreakingly silly.
We’ve been described as having an ‘over-the-top brand of silliness’ making work that is ‘oh so relevant and needed’. Our first week-long R&D took place at the London Bubble in November 2024, as part of ‘Make Space!’. At the end of the week, we shared the first work-in-progress of the show to an audience of industry and pals.
As individual artists, our work has played at venues across the country, including: Nottingham Playhouse, The Lowry, Contact MCR, MAST Mayflower Studios, Battersea Arts Centre, Omnibus Theatre, Riverside Studios, Greenwich Theatre and VAULT Festival.
