We're honoured to hear from the Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council Bella Sankey! Bella was elected as Leader in May 2023 and is also a Labour Councillor for Wish Ward in Hove. Before entering politics, Bella was the director of a national charity and a human rights campaigner. She has fought many successful campaigns for justice, including criminalising modern-day slavery and preventing the unlawful expulsion of trafficking survivors from the UK. She is a mother of two toddlers. Bella is of mixed heritage and was born and raised in Brighton & Hove.
We can't wait to hear from Brighton AI co-founder Claire Bown! She's the CEO of Insert Space, a company helping businesses use people-data and analytics to boost productivity, make agile decisions, and build thriving cultures. Beyond this, Claire is a recognised voice in the debate around the future of data in an AI-driven world, championing diversity and addressing the underrepresentation of women in the field.
Hosted by Rifa Thorpe-Tracey, a highly accomplished coach and founder of Refigure Ltd, with a focus on teaching women to create their big vision. With over 25 years of consulting experience, Rifa has won numerous awards and accolades for her work, as well as contributing to publications such as The Times and CNN.
