Sherry Fair @ The Square

Hey there, sherry lovers! Get ready for a delightful day at The Square filled with all things sherry. Come celebrate the 5th Anniversary of DC's Mini-Sherry Fair. Whether you're a seasoned sipper or new to the world of this delicious drink, this event is perfect for you. Join founder and US Sherry Week Ambassador, Chantal Tseng and the Square crew for a day filled with delicious sherry tastings, music, giveaways, food and a good time. Come down to The Square and enjoy a variety of sherry styles from different winemakers. Don't miss out on this exciting in-person event! Taste more than 20 different sherries! Try your hand at a venencia pour! Food and cocktails will be available for purchase. Sherry experts will showcase their unique blends on-site. General Admission ticket gets you access to the tastings and entertainment, there will be additional small classes and events as well this year for supplemental purchase including cocktail classes and jamon carving demos.

Info: Chantal Tseng, named EaterDC’s 2013 Bartender of the Year and one of Daily Meal’s 25 Top Bartenders in America, is a celebrated cocktail educator and sommelier. Chantal brings creativity and storytelling to every glass. With a rich background in hospitality, she crafts cocktails that blend flavor, history, and artistry. Her classes are hands-on journeys into the world of spirits, where technique meets imagination, making every sip a moment to savor.

Info: Owen Thomson is a veteran bartender, beverage director, and concept creator with over 15 years of experience shaping Washington, D.C.’s cocktail landscape. He has held senior roles at some of the city’s most influential venues—Bourbon (precursor to Jack Rose), Bar Pilar, Rose’s Luxury, and as Beverage Director for José Andrés’ ThinkFoodGroup—before co-founding Archipelago, D.C.’s acclaimed tiki bar.
