About this event
This is a half day course of training accredited by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England. Severn Trent, a partner in the Sherbourne Valley Project have very kindly offered to provide this training for free as part of the Project (it would usually cost £125 per person).
This course raises awareness of mental health. It covers:
• What mental health is and how to challenge stigma
• A basic knowledge of some common mental health issues
• An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing
• Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue
Tea/coffee and a light lunch will be provided.
