Have your or your mates / family served in the Australian Defence Force, or ever wanted to? Do you skip your work Christmas parties so you can binge watch WW2 documentaries? Ever say something about the horrors of war inappropriately in a social setting and have a room of people stare at you?
Then SHELLSHOCKED is for you!
We’ve put together the absolute BEST comics in Australia who have all served or are serving their country, plus a special guest or two, for a one night only comedy show full of laughs, trauma bonding and relaxation at the Sit Down Comedy Club.
The night’s headliner is absolute Aussie legend Chris Franklin – singer of the hit song ‘Bloke’.
Our MC this year is Mark McConville. Mark is an accomplished Stand-Up Comedian, MC and Keynote Speaker and has been working in the Australian entertainment industry for over 25 years. He is also heavily involved in the mental health space, and often works with veterans.
The night will also feature Brisbane favourite Jack Knight, local icon Kara Robinson and up and comer Michael Albrecht.
So grab your crew, and who knows – you might even run into a bunch of your mates at this show where you can kick your boots up and have a laugh amongst friends.
Doors open at 6pm, with dinner and drinks available to purchase at the venue. Show starts at 7pm.
The Sit Down Comedy Club is accessible for people of all abilities.
For past, current and future members of the Australian Defence Force – we thank you for your service. For the family and friends who were left behind, who have supported and cared for, and sometimes felt the effects of the aftermath of the traumas of service life. For the health and support workers, charity providers who have cared for those who have suffered, both physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
This show is dedicated to all those who have lost their lives or suffered for our country – whether as a part of active service or in the aftermath. 10% of profits will be donated to Brothers N Books – Australia’s leading bibliotherapy charity.
May the memories of those that we have lost be forever in our hearts and minds.

Online ticketing will close 4hrs prior to show time on the day of the event. After this time, tickets will be available for purchase on the door unless sold out prior. The Sit Down Comedy Club is licensed – strictly no admittance to people under 18 years of age.
