Bring the family down at 11am to hear Krista read from The Fort, the first book in her series "Sheep River Adventures." Stick around to ask questions about what inspired her to write the books, and get a copy of your book signed!

About the Book Series: Sheep River Adventures is a series of five books that celebrate the beauty of nature, wildlife, and small-town life in the charming town of Okotoks. Each story is based on true adventures experienced by Krista’s two boys, Ethan and Liam, as they explored the banks of the Sheep River growing up. Always close behind them was their cat, Finnegan, who followed the boys everywhere and became part of many of their river adventures.
The illustrations in the books are based on real photographs of the boys that Krista’s illustrator used to create the artwork, helping bring their real-life adventures to the pages. Today, Ethan and Liam are grown and still live in Okotoks with their families. Ethan and his wife are expecting their daughter in 2026, and the family looks forward to sharing the Sheep River—and many new adventures—with the next generation.
