LEARN HOW TO PLAY WARHAMMER 40,000!
ELEVENTH EDITION IS HERE!
All the 10th Edition army codexes are still the official rules for every army in the new edition; so, even though 40k's 11th Edition definitely *feels* different, you'll find that much of the game plays like 10th Edition Warhammer 40,000.
Come down on this day to make sense of the edition's changes--or to learn 40k for the FIRST TIME! Our Learn-to-Play 40k events provide the perfect setting to learn the new 40k edition--or learn 40k for the first time! It's also a great way to meet the people in the Imaginary Wars 40k community!
This will be an afternoon is geared towards people who:
- have never tried out Warhammer 40,000 (or any miniatures game) before
- know of 40k via the Space Marine 2 video game or have been watching 40k lore videos (or that episode of Secret Level!) and want to learn about how it feels to play Warhammer 40,000
- Want an easy-to-digest way of getting caught up with the new edition of Warhammer 40,000

PLAYER CAP: We will be running the games on THREE (and maybe four) tables:

**RSVP to Play**
We will be teaching the fundamentals and core concepts of 40k Eleventh Edition on this afternoon. We'll be supplying EVERYTHING needed to play a quick game of 40k and will have 2-3 armies worth of models that can be used!
If you are *brand new* to the game and will need models to learn with, be sure to RSVP and let us know so that we can make every effort to accommodate you.
PLEASE ARRIVE BEFORE NOON IF YOU NEED TO BORROW MINIATURES
TABLES 2+3 - NOVICE TABLES
Whether you've played previous editions and are looking at getting back into 40k, or if you're out of practice and looking to solidify your playing knowledge...or if you just want to get a smaller game of 40k in AND help out mentor new players, you're welcome to participate on this day as well!
Fine Details as to what constitutes a beginner battle on this day:
- Loose time limit of 2.5 hours.
- Players bring in their own force of no more than 500pts
- Players' armies should aim at having the heroes be worth no more than 180 points. Squads should aim at being worth about the same amount or less: this is not a day for heavy-hitting elite squads--we want all the day's games to last long enough for players to actually learn things!
If the room is PACKED, we'll open up a third Novice's table.
