Join us for a FREE engaging and informative shED Talk at the Watershed Nature Center!Learn how to turn kitchen scraps and yard waste into rich, valuable compost with Mary Grose from Good Dirt Composting Collective! Mary will discuss environmental benefits of composting, what is happening inside our compost pile and how to get started using one of the most common methods of compositing. This presentation will be followed by a show and tell and a Q and A session for Mary to help answer all your questions about your compositing journey!

This event is limited to 20 seats and all ages are welcomed. All shED Talks are held inside the Watershed Welcome Center. Some demonstrations may include optional outdoor experiences (weather permitting).
About the Presenter:
Mary Grose was recognized for Excellence in Edwardsville for years of contributions to the City. She has been active in community initiatives on environmental issues along with efforts to educate residents about the ways they can play a role in those. Among the projects she’s helped lead are the Bring Your Own Glen/Ed effort to reduce plastic bag usage, the Edwardsville Community Housing Alliance, the Good Dirt Composting Collective and, most recently, the Good Dirt Community Gardens.
