Washington, D.C. - Hosted by the Washington Capitals, Shattered Ice, a New England hockey drama from director Alex Ranarivelo, will bring its Social Impact Campaign to the Woolly Mammoth, Sunday, March 8th at 7pm.

A panel discussion, presented and facilitated by Nehoiden Street Films & The Washington Capitals, will take place following the screening and feature special guests from the film, mental health professionals, and the Washington Capitals. The panelist will share their stories and discuss the importance of sparking the conversation around mental health and athletes. The Washington Capitals Hockey Talks platform, in partnership with MedStar Health, aims to raise awareness and help end the stigma around mental illness and promote good mental health habits. Panel guests include members from Morgan's Message, Shoulder Check, MedStar Health, and the Washington Capitals.

Our goal with the film and this event is to raise awareness, tell a powerful story, and send a message to others that there is light at the end of the tunnel even in the darkest times.

Using narrative storytelling creates the opportunity for the audience to engage and feel connected to characters and the underlying messages within the film. Shattered Ice will inspire and create a lasting impact, sparking conversations about mental health & suicide. You are not alone.

If you or someone you know is struggling or in crises, help is available.
