The Idaho Conservation League is hosting a screening of our new documentary film, Shared Waters, at the Panida Theater! Join us on Wednesday, November 11 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm for the film followed by a Q&A featuring film director Jennifer Ekstrom, cinematographer Jimmy Matlosz, and Kootenai Tribe of Idaho Vice Chairman Gary Aitken Jr.
Shared Waters: Ktunaxa and the Coal Mines is a documentary film that reveals the far-reaching impacts of mountaintop removal coal mining in British Columbia’s Elk Valley.
Told primarily through the leadership and lived experience of KTOI Vice Chairman Gary Aiken Jr., and bolstered by other Ktunaxa leaders as well as allied scientific and policy experts, the film confronts the failures of environmental governance and centers a powerful Indigenous vision for justice, accountability, and restoration.
Event Details:
- Doors open at 5 pm
- Film starts at 6 pm
- Join ICL and select film cast and crew in the lobby afterward!
Buy tickets online, or purchase your ticket at the door!
