Duende Libre Live at The Heartwood Center

Join us for an unforgettable evening of "globally-inspired jazz with dimension." We are thrilled to welcome the award-winning jazz trio Duende Libre to The Heartwood Center stage on Friday, November 13, 2026.
Duende Libre creates a euphoric new sound that celebrates the deep connections between the American jazz tradition and global rhythms from Cuba, Brazil, and the Mediterranean. Bandleader Alex Chadsey (keys), Farko Dosumov (bass), and Jeff Busch (percussion) bring decades of devotion to their craft, delivering a performance that is as much choreography as it is composition.
Expect sizzling rhythms, grooving basslines, experimental meters, and irresistible melodies. Whether you are a jazz aficionado or just love live music that moves the soul, this is a night you won't want to miss.
"Hopeful in sound as well as in ideological foundation, [the band creates music] full of heart and historical multitudes." – PopMatters
