Info: Dr. William Weir is a consultant physician and one of the UK’s most experienced clinicians in Myalgic Encephomyelitis . He has worked with people with M.E. for decades and is widely respected for his clinical expertise, patient-centred approach, and advocacy for accurate diagnosis and safe care.

Info: Dr Binita Kane is a Consultant Respiratory Physician and leading UK advocate for people with myalgic encephalomyelitis (M.E.) and Long Covid. She combines clinical expertise with research and policy work to improve understanding, challenge stigma, and drive better care and support for people living with post-viral illnesses.

Info: Prof. Trinick is a triple-accredited consultant physician with over 30 years’ experience in NHS clinical leadership and complex post-viral conditions, including M.E. and Long Covid. He now supports patients privately and provides expert advice to our Trustees in negotiations with health system leaders.

Info: Professor Chris Ponting is Professor of Medical Bioinformatics at the University of Edinburgh and Principal Investigator of DecodeME, the world’s largest genetic study into M.E.. An internationally recognised geneticist, his work focuses on using large-scale genomic data to understand the biological mechanisms of complex disease, with a strong commitment to patient partnership and biomedical research in M.E.
