About This Course
The Bodhisattva’s Way of Life (Bodhicharyavatara) is a profound guide to cultivating compassion, wisdom, and the awakened mind—bodhicitta. Across the first and second terms, the course will focus on Chapters 1–5, which lay the essential foundation for the Bodhisattva path.
In this first term, we begin engaging with these foundational chapters, exploring themes such as the generation of bodhicitta, its significance, ethical awareness, and the attitudes that support spiritual development. The emphasis is on building familiarity and confidence in working with the text, while allowing time for reflection and discussion.
Rather than rushing ahead, we take a measured approach—creating space for the teachings to be understood, questioned, and related to personal experience.
Through study, reflection, and discussion, students are supported in connecting the teachings with their own lives.
This course may include readings, guided reflections, and discussion-based exploration to support meaningful engagement with the text and its relevance to daily life.
