Join us for a powerful shamanistic ceremony and full dance journey rooted in tribal and indigenous traditions – a vision our community has been dreaming of, and now it comes alive. In the heart of Helsinki, we come together to create a sacred space with dance, cacao, live music, and sound healing, weaving ancient traditions, natural elements, and medicine music into a transformative experience. Join the circle to ground deeply, connect authentically, and awaken the primal wisdom within.In this soul-stirring live Ecstatic Dance, transformative DJ soundscapes by Ilo merge seamlessly with Robin Dewan’s primal didgeridoo, as Joonas Hirvelä gently warms up the dancefloor. Marianne Valonlehto’s cacao ceremony invites heartwarming presence, while Laura Iso-Metsälä’s songs awaken the collective voice. Mystical visual landscapes by Lou envelop the gathering, as Villd’s alchemistic elixirs and nourishing snacks sustain the tribe’s energy.

ILO, sonic alchemist weaving Eastern and Western soundscapes since 2005, channels decades of trance, yoga, and breathwork into heart&body awakening dance journeys. His sets are more than music — they are a prayer in motion, infused with wisdom traditions that invite deep embodiment, inner expansion, and ecstatic release. Ilo crafts transformative dance journeys at festivals, Burning Man events, retreats, and yoga schools in Finland, Estonia, Denmark, the Netherlands, and India. He also guides holotropic breathwork, yoga, and cold exposure practices, and produces ceremonies and healing spaces – including Finland’s first festival healing area at Existence ’11.
ROBIN DEWAN has carried the voice of the didgeridoo across the Nordic region for over three decades, blending its primal resonance with the art of sound healing. From the Peace in Mind fairs of 1990s Stockholm to the Minä Olen fairs at Finlandia-talo, and as host of the Australian Aboriginal White Cockatoo Performing Group in 2001, his path has been one of cultural exchange and deep listening. A regular at the Faces Ethno Festival for more than a decade, and a familiar presence at Finland’s consciousness gatherings, Robin’s collaborations have spanned from 22 Pistepirkko to Angelit. In ceremony, his didgeridoo becomes a living bridge—grounding the body, opening the heart, and calling forth ancient wisdom.
MARIANNE VALONLEHTO is a shamanic practitioner and visual artist. She has explored various shamanic traditions, energy work, and healing sound while deepening her connection to spirituality, rituals, and nature. She has worked with Mother Cacao for over eight years. Marianne has practiced yoga and various meditation techniques for over 20 years, and these experiences form the foundation of her spiritual work. She is currently studying the Peruvian Q’ero shamanic tradition. Her ceremonial work is rooted in honoring the beauty of life and a deep love for Mother Earth.
JOONAS HIRVELÄ guides the Ecstatic Dance warmup, inviting you to discover your natural flow and let your body move as it wishes. The session explores deep appreciation for life – a core shamanic quality – and how this awareness merges with intuitive movement. Together, we’ll weave these elements into living dance: honoring life while flowing effortlessly with it. With his rich background in dance, somatics (ISLO), and dance pedagogy (TEAK), Joonas creates a space where movement becomes both celebration and prayer.
ARULAI SOI (Laura Iso-Metsälä) is an artist, sound healer, guide, and space holder who ventures unafraid into deep waters, surrendering to the pull of the undercurrent. Yet she also holds the rare gift of wrapping her fellow travellers in a tender, compassionate embrace, creating a space so safe and disarming that the demands of the outer world fade away, allowing deep rest to enter. For Laura, music is both an inner journey and a shared exploration — a way of bringing the soul’s movements into the open, to be witnessed, felt, and carried together.

Over the decades of facilitating and DJ’ing Ecstatic Dance journeys around the world, Ilo noticed how deeply people resonate with more tribal and indigenous sounds. Again and again, dancers have asked:

This event is the answer.
We draw inspiration from the wisdom and traditions of indigenous peoples, including the Q’ero and Guaraní tribes, as well as Finnish shamanism. The ceremony weaves together natural elements, acoustic instruments, and medicine music – sounds and rhythms that open the heart and invite an inner journey.

Cacao, an ancient heart medicine, guides us to rediscover our center within the currents of physical presence, love, mental clarity, and life force. Revered by the Mayans as the elixir of the Gods, this exquisite elixir not only nourishes the body with abundant nutrients but also triggers the release of feel-good hormones, unlocking a cascade of energy, creativity, and increased connection.
Immerse yourself in an elixir crafted from raw organic vegan cacao paste, melted in gently heated spring waters infused with delightful spices, songs, and prayers. This ceremonial blend aims to decalcify our pineal glands and activate our LOVE hormones. A dosage of approximately ~30g per person in a cup of delight, charged with love and good intentions.
