About this Event
Shamanic Sound Healing & Journey Weekend Intensive
October 25–26 · 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM · Yaletown, Vancouver
This course explores the ancient practice of using sound as a gateway into non-ordinary states of consciousness. Through drumming, rhythm, and focused intention, you will learn how to access expanded awareness, connect with helping spirits, and cultivate your intuitive gifts.
We draw from two traditions. The first is Core Shamanism, a system developed by anthropologist Michael Harner that distills common methods found across shamanic cultures worldwide. The second is Norse Shamanism and Seidr, a form of trancework rooted in ancient Scandinavia and traditionally practiced by seers seeking insight, guidance, and healing.
By weaving these two lineages together, the training offers a grounded and accessible approach to spirit work, both contemporary and ancestral in nature. A central focus is learning to journey between the worlds, using sound as a tool to shift your state of awareness and establish meaningful connections with your guides.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll engage in guided exercises, shamanic journeys, and hands-on practice with instruments. The training weaves together video, slides, experiential learning, and guided practice, giving you the tools to both experience and facilitate shamanic sound healing journeys. You’ll learn how rhythm and tone influence the nervous system and consciousness, how to shift into receptive states safely and intentionally, and how to apply these skills in your personal or healing work.
Kasia is a certified shamanic practitioner and practicing seidr guide. She completed the Shamanic Healing Series through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and is an active member of the Scandinavian Center for Shamanic Studies. Her approach integrates years of formal study with direct experience, offering participants a space that is both structured and experiential.
