Creating your own shamanic drum is a deeply personal and transformative experience. As you carefully choose the materials, prepare the hide, and craft each part of the drum and beater, you’re not just making an instrument, you’re infusing it with your own energy and intentions.
Creating your drum is a beautiful process. Each step invites you to reflect, to slow down, and to be present with the energy you’re shaping.
When you finally hold your completed drum, there’s a profound sense of accomplishment and reverence. It’s not just a drum; it’s a living, breathing extension of your spirit and of the animal that provided its skin.
With every beat of your new drum, you’ll feel its power; awakening your primal energy, grounding you in the moment, and connecting you to a deeper sense of self and Spirit.

Drum frames are 12 or 14 inch maple. Hides are ethically and sustainably sourced deer.
Suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners, our day will begin with deep connection to our drum materials, before commencing the making of the drum and beater.
You will learn to connect with your power animal & the spirit of the drum, how to give and receive power retrievals and deepen your spiritual & shamanic practice.
Jen Grange is a Celtic shamanic practitioner & empowerment coach based in the ancient landscape of Cumbria. With a deep connection with the land and elements, Jen’s work is rooted in the old ways, weaving together the wisdom of the seasons, cycles of nature, to facilitate profound healing and transformation.
Drawing upon ancient traditions and intuition, she guides you on soul-stirring journeys of self-discovery and empowerment. Texan native Jim Gardner is Toltec Shamanic Minister and workshop facilitator on a mission to guide others towards true fulfilment and joy. Having embarked on his own profound transformational journey, Jim found himself disillusioned despite achieving the stereotypical “American dream” of success and material wealth. This realisation sparked a deep inner quest for authentic happiness and purpose, leading him to explore the essence of joy and release what no longer served him.
Jim’s personal odyssey, known as the Journey to Joy, has equipped him with invaluable insights and tools to help others navigate their paths to genuine contentment. With a passion for meditation and transformational practices, Jim empowers individuals to uncover their true passions, ignite their inner light, and walk the path towards a more fulfilling and joyful existence.
