Join Halo for an intensive workshop where we will break down the components of one of her signature choreographies from Odissi Temple Dance stylizations and mudras, to Indian Fusion Bellydance drills and technique all within a devotional context.
Shakti Temple Dance provides participants with a sense of grace, power, strength and sensuality within a structure of both discipline and technique, and devotion and mood (an Indian concept where we bring the deeper aspects of our expression into an artform).

About Halo Seronko: Halo's journey into dance began when she moved to the Bay Area in 2008 to study Tribal Fusion Bellydance. There she found an even deeper interest in more traditional dance forms from the East and travelled for the first time to India in 2010 to study Odissi, a classical dance with origins in the Temples of East India. Halo dedicated herself to Odissi for nearly a decade, studying in Kelu Charan Mohapatra's lineage under Sujata Mohapatra and her disciples, Sonali Mishra, Colleena Shakti and Revital Carroll. Halo also spent many years as a core member of the Ashland, Oregon-based dance company, Dakini Rose Devadasi directed by Monique Trinity Rose. Her studies in Tribal and Indian Fusion Bellydance have included intensive training with Colleena Shakti, Rachel Brice and Zoe Jakes. Most recently, she has been immersing herself in Rajasthani dance in India, and central asian styles with her teacher Miriam Peretz. These studies have infused her development of Shakti Temple Dance, which she coined as a weaving of sacred dance lineages from the East.
