About this Event
As we move into the fall, and the light wanes, now is a perfect time to make candles. Join the Mountain Witch Ellen as she guides a mini-class on jar candles. Everyone who attends will have the opportunity to make a candle which includes decorating a jar, setting an intention, and pouring wax. You are welcome to bring your own herbs, charms, and stones to add to your candle. If you want a particular jar, then please bring one that is no larger than 5 ounces.
Friday, October 11 ยท 4 - 5 pm
Registration is required in order to insure that we have enough supplies for everyone who attends. This Pop-Up event is free to Shakti members. Everyone else is welcome at $10.
Shakti Pop-Ups are simple events and activities created and hosted by Shakti members for Shakti members. Our plan is to offer a variety of fun events and activities throughout the quarter that we hope will cover a wide range of interests and experiences.
Pop-Ups will provide additional opportunities for fun, social interaction, and community building (and probably include snacks).
*This event is FREE for Shakti in the Mountains Members. Register as usual, being sure to use your membership access/promo code for free access. (Members receive admission to select events for free and help support the Shakti in the Mountains community. Attend this event for free if you sign up for membership before registering. Visit to learn more about membership.)
Additional Details:
Registration closes 24 hours prior to the event.

Ellen Harbin-Dabbs is a Tennessee native. Growing up in the Tennessee State Park system, she learned many traditional skills that have been forgotten over time. She was taught ways of the hearth by her mother and grandmother, and the ways of the wild by her father who was an outdoor instructor and park ranger. Her stories and insights will keep your entertained as she passes along the knowledge of the "old ways".
