Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part I

Directed by Luke Rowe and presented by the Shakespeare by the Sea Festival for the first time in our history, HENRY IV, PART I is a play of parallels: the lives that one could have lived, and the lives that one could live still.
While Hotspur’s (Gina Hrachy) rebellion is on the rise against King Henry (Karen Gawne), Prince Hal (Nina Wolf) would much rather spend their time drinking with Falstaff (Steve O'Connell) at the local dive bar than his royal duties.
Though this story surrounds late medieval royalty, the fundamental truth of this family dramedy is universal across location and across time.
Our production will exist simultaneously in two distinct eras, while Hal searches for a future of their own.
Worlds collide in this retelling of one of Shakespeare’s most iconic and exciting histories.
Think Medieval Times vs St. John’s Punks....
