Choose your week and get creative! A fun camp to inspire creative kids ages 10+ while also learning practical sewing skills they can build on for the future. With a smaller group size, campers benefit from personalized, one-on-one instruction as they work on a variety of projects with a focus on learning how to use a sewing machine.
Participants will also experiment with embroidery, weaving, and needle felting. Sewing machines are provided with materials included. Note: this is a beginner's class with some of the same projects as last Summer's sewing camp (messenger bag, 9-block square pillow, zippered pouch, and pin cushion.) All materials and supplies are included*—just come ready to create!
*Students will be encouraged to bring their own garment (a sweater, tee, touque, socks, etc) to embellish with small details using felting or embroidery techniques for one of the sessions.
Our textile instructors graduated the CNA Textile & Apparel Design program while it was still located in our building and have a wealth of knowledge to share. They will introduce campers to new techniques and materials throughout the week.
Morning Drop-off: 8:45 - 9:00 am
Afternoon Pick-up: 4:00 - 4:15 pm
Please bring:
• A packed lunch
• Refillable water bottle
• Snacks for both morning and afternoon
We'll have a supervised lunch break from 12:00-1:00 pm. We may venture outside for brief field trips, so a permission slip will need to be signed on Day 1 of camp.
NOTE: Sewing Camps require a minimum of 4 students to proceed. If a certain week is in danger of being cancelled, parents will be notified 10 days before camp is set to begin. A refund or transfer to a different camp or week will be offered.
By registering your child, you confirm that you have read and agree to follow ATC’s cancellation policy without exception.
