About this Event

In these challenging times, you may be feeling increased stress, worry, or sadness as you navigate uncertainty in your daily life. You may also be working hard to care for family members, friends, neighbors, or others in your community. While caring for others can be deeply meaningful, it can also take an emotional toll. Join Dr. Sheela Raja, clinical psychologist and author, for an engaging and interactive discussion on building resilience during difficult times. You'll have the opportunity to reflect on your own strengths, learn how to recognize signs of burnout, secondary trauma, and moral injury, and explore practical strategies for managing stress and staying connected to what matters most to you. Together, we'll discuss ways to strengthen personal resilience and community care, leaving you with simple, evidence-based tools to support both yourself and others.

Sheela Raja is a clinical psychologist, author, and professor who has written 4 books on PTSD and trauma including "Overcoming Trauma and PTSD" and the "Resilient Teen." She is also a mom of two girls and a long time Oak Park resident--and her parents used to live in Forest Park when she was a child. Please see www.sheelaraja.com and her YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/DrSheelaRaja for more info about her books, media appearances, and clinical practice.
