About this Event

Join Dr. Susan Bank and Board of Health member Susan Buss to gain a deeper understanding of depression. They will describe the different types of depression and what signs and symptoms to look for in yourself and others. They will discuss common and effective forms of treatment. They will explore prevention and how family and friends can help their loved ones cope and seek help.


Join Dr Susan Bank and Susan Buss in the Community Room at the Forest Park Public Library for a talk for Depression Awareness and Support Month.


Dr. Bank graduated from the Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at the University of Buffalo. She has a private practice in Park Ridge, IL and over 30 years of experience specializing in psychiatry and neurology. She is a mom to 2 young adults and 2 cats.


Susan Buss, LCSW is a therapist in private practice in Forest Park, IL. She has 40 years of experience working with adults and teenagers, in individual, couples, family and group therapy. She works with depression and anxiety as well as specializing in trauma and loss, LGBTQ+, ADD/ADHD and addiction. She is a mom to 1 young adult and 2 dogs.
