SF Film School MASTERCLASS with Max Aruj
About this Event
Join an in-person masterclass with Max Aruj, one of the most in-demand composers working in blockbuster cinema today. Aruj began his career at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions while studying composition at USC, and has since scored Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, The Ice Road, Lansky, and Crawl, alongside additional music for Top Gun: Maverick, Black Widow, Mission: Impossible — Fallout, The Crown, and His Dark Materials. His score for Netflix's Man on Fire series arrived in 2026. He has collaborated closely with Lorne Balfe, Rupert Gregson-Williams, and Steffen Thum across film, television, and games.
In this session, he breaks down how a film actually gets its sound — working with directors, finding a score's identity before picture lock, and what the job looks like day to day at the top of the industry.
