Sewing Stones with Danielle Krcmar
About this Event
Stones hold the story of a place—weathered by time, broken down into the soil that grounds a landscape. Fabric holds stories too: the memory of a friend, a family member, a moment from our own lives. In this hands-on workshop, Interpreting the Natural artist Danielle Krcmar invites participants to explore where these two kinds of memory meet.
Danielle will share her fabrication process and guide participants in creating their own soft stone sculptures from upcycled materials, transforming textile scraps into tactile forms that echo rocks, moss, and earth. All materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own fabric, yarn, or thread in colors and textures that evoke the natural world.
No experience necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands into the materials.
