Want to learn how to use a sewing machine or just brush up on what your grandmother taught you 20 years ago? Join us for a beginner-friendly sewing class with instructor Cara Denison. Students will learn some basic sewing skills on sewing machines and create an improv quilt pillow case with an optional zipper! Students must bring their own pillow form (18×18 inches is a typical size) so their pillowcase will fit correctly. If you have your own machine, you may bring it, or use one of ours. An assortment of fabric will be provided, or you may bring yardage or fat quarters in your choice of colors.
This workshop will be held from 9 am to noon, Saturday, January 17, in the Idonea Hersee Classroom at Art Reach, 111 E. Broadway, Mt. Pleasant, MI.
Recommended age: 10 and up
Please note: An active membership is not required to register. Active members receive a 15% discount on classes.
