The Demon Barbers are hitting the road for a high-octane anniversary tour, celebrating 25 years of boundary-pushing performances. Combining traditional British folk music with high-energy dance, this award-winning band will once again deliver a unique live show packed with reimagined arrangements from their acclaimed back catalogue.
Over the years, The Demon Barbers have thrilled audiences across the UK and beyond, earning multiple accolades — including the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Live Act. Now, this new tour promises to be unmissable for both long-time fans and newcomers eager to experience their signature energy.
At the heart of the band, frontman Damien Barber leads an exceptional lineup of musicians. This tour features Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne (squeezeboxes and vocals), Hugh Vincent (bass), and Alix Shepherd (keys). Notably, it also marks the welcome return of powerhouse drummer Ben Griffith, whose dynamic rhythms have shaped the band’s sound since 2004.
For the past two and a half decades, The Demon Barbers have carved out a distinctive space in the UK folk scene by blending traditional dance with modern styles such as Hip Hop and breakin’.
To bring that vision to life, this tour showcases an electrifying team of dancers: clog legends Tiny Taylor, Laura Connolly, and Sarah Davenport will take the stage alongside Leeds-based breakers Chris Banks and Marie Mathias. Their acrobatic performances have become a hallmark of The Demon Barbers’ dance-theatre company, Breaking Tradition.
