About this Event
The Hannibal Arts Council is pleased to announce a new program, Seth Wade Songwriters Seminar, for youth ages 13-17. The seminar will be led by local musician Seth Wade and take place on Saturday, May 9 at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main Street. The youth session will be held from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.
Wade will lead the interactive seminar offering practical advice and open dialogue on a wide range of topics relevant to today’s songwriter and performing musician. From songwriting and composing to performing and promoting, the seminar will be shaped by participants’ interests, questions, and real-world experiences.
No experience required, the only requirement for participation is a passion for music and a desire to learn.
Seth Wade is a singer-songwriter from Hannibal, MO. Wade has become a fixture performer in the area with his skilled guitar work and voice that is steeped in Americana. Wade’s work as a youth mental health worker led him to start the “Strings To Mend.” The annual event raises funds and awareness for two nonprofits that combat child abuse and reduce trauma.
Participation is free for the youth session but registration is required. To register, go online to https://hannibalartscouncil.eventbrite.com, call 573-221-6545 or stop by 105 S. Main St.
