Bad Art By Good People Art Auction

The Hannibal Arts Council is hosting its annual Bad Art by Good People Art Auction, set for Friday, May 8, 2026 at The Orchard. The evening will kick off with hors d’oeuvres at 6:00 p.m., followed by the auction at 7:00 p.m.

This one-of-a-kind fundraising event brings together 12 community leaders and 12 talented local artists through randomly drawn pairings. Each duo collaborates to create original artwork that will be auctioned off at the May event. The tongue-in-cheek title, Bad Art by Good People, is all in good fun—many of the final pieces exceed expectations and showcase impressive creativity from all involved.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Hannibal Arts Council and its wide range of programs. NEW THIS YEAR: Each pair will select a nonprofit that will receive 10% of the auction sale of their art.

The team pairings for the 2026 Bad Art by Good People Art Auction are as follows:
