Sessions at Stained Glass Vol. 12 | Clayton Cameron & Tawanda

Sessions at Stained Glass is a monthly concert series from the music studio of Peter Smith. For vol.12, we will feature my good friend and masterful drummer, Clayton Cameron. Known as the "brush master" for his pioneering techniques for playing with brushes, Clayton has built a long career, highlighted by many years with Sammy Davis Jr. and then Tony Bennett. He's also toured the country with Peter in Molly Ringwald's band, and is the drummer on Peter's first two records. Tawanda Suessbrich-Joaquim is an exciting young singer who has been touring with post-modern jukebox. She is the winner of the 2020 Sarah Vaughan vocal jazz competition. Rounding out the band will be first-call bassist Mike Gurrola and Peter Smith on piano.

There will be light refreshments served, free of charge.

Stained Glass Music Studio is located in the First Baptist Church of Pasadena. Parking meters are not enforced on Sunday. Alternately, you can park in the garage at 150 E. Holly Street 91101. Bring in your garage ticket for validation. Someone will meet you at the front door and take you upstairs. Important*: there are two short flights from the second floor (8 steps each) up to the studio, which are unavoidable. There is no elevator access to the space itself.
