About this Event
Join us in this vital series centered on Black maternal behavioral health and wellness!
The trauma-informed workshop for pregnant Black people aims to create a safe and supportive environment where participants can explore the intersections of pregnancy, trauma, mental health, and self-care.
The workshop focuses on understanding the unique challenges faced by pregnant (peri/post-partum as well) Black people, including systemic racism and personal experiences of trauma. Through guided discussions, interactive activities, and an expert-led presentation, participants will learn coping strategies, and self-care techniques to combat the impact of trauma in their lives.
The workshop also emphasizes building community and support networks, empowering attendees to share their experiences and foster resilience. Overall, it seeks to enhance well-being and promote healthy pregnancies through a culturally responsive and trauma-informed approach.
