Ladies of Whittle-le-Woods and surrounding areas, our next Infinite Women session is on Friday 23/01 at 10:30 and we are thrilled to be inviting back one of our favourite guest speakers, Beccy Jones on the topic of Serotonin.
Serotonin (5-HT) is a crucial neurotransmitter and hormone regulating mood, sleep, appetite, digestion, memory, and other functions, acting as a chemical messenger between nerve cells in the brain and body, with most found in the gut. Low levels are linked to depression and anxiety, targeted by antidepressants (SSRIs), while too much can cause Serotonin Syndrome. It also aids wound healing by constricting blood vessels and influences bone density and sexual function.
Beccy will be sharing some awesome information about Serotonin and great tips for how we can boost this happy hormone.
