This class will focus on recognizing when someone is in crisis or experiencing thoughts of suicide, and how to respond with care, compassion, and connection to get them to the right support systems.While this education is designed with Veterans in mind, the tools and information can be applied to anyone who may be struggling.
Stefany Munsch is a licensed clinical social worker with a diverse background in mobile crisis intervention, substance use treatment, and housing support. She earned her graduate degree from Edinboro University in 2018 and became a licensed clinical social worker in 2022, holding licenses in both Pennsylvania and Washington.
Stefany has experience in primary care settings, where she played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) clinic. Her dedication to mental health and crisis intervention led her to work in suicide prevention at the Pittsburgh VA for three years before she transitioned to her current role in Washington. Stefany is passionate about providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals in need and continues to advocate for innovative solutions in social work and mental health services.
Together, we can learn how to notice the signs, listen with empathy, and take action that may save a life.
